Barcelona Jewellery Shop - 3rd Year  Project

This project brief was a specialist retail design located in Barcelona, showcasing distinctive jewellery pieces designed by the client Stacey Bentley. The clients aspirations for the design were to reflect the concepts and inspirations of her jewellerys style. She took her main inspiration from the urban landscapes of Edinburgh City, along with her interest for enamelling and vibrant colours.

The design follows an industrial style with a sleek sophisticated edge - as it is a jewellery shop. It consists of raw materials such as copper, concrete and metals, with features inspired by urban landscapes, with a concept idea of bringing the outside in - shown through the contemporary style metal tree in the main entrance way.

Rock and Soul Hotel - 3rd Year Project

This project brief was for the conversion of a City of Glasgow College campus building into hotel accomodation. The client singer/songwriter Amy MacDonald was looking for a design proposal that captured the cities local culture and conveys a sense of her music style in a refreshing modern interior.

The design takes inspiration from the cities urban landscapes, the clients music style and old vintage stores, creating an urban loft style interior with a music orientated atmosphere. The design includes soundproof wall coverings and its own record lounge. Envisage a rock/chic style interior; rustic features  with splashes of warmth in the vibrant coloured textiles and iconic furniture pieces, creating a fun, contemporary space with added sophistication.

Game Plan Pop Up Shop - 4th Year Project

This project brief was for the design of a Pop Up shop of an exhibition space. In this scenario the exhibition 'Board Games Rediscovered' displayed in the Victoria and Albert Museum of Childhood in London, The museum was organising a pop up shop to generate market interest for the exhibition. The shop will be located around shopping malls, airports and railway concourses in various locations around the UK for a week at a time, therefore the design had to be able to be dismantled.

The design of the Pop Up Shop will capture the ethos of the exhibition, incorporating subtle aspects into the design to create an innovative and interactive retail space that will create customer awareness of the brand.

Rock and Soul Hotel - 4th Year Project

This project brief was for the conversion of hostel building into a Co-Working space for 'The Office Group' a successful co-working company located in London. 'TOG' are looking to expand their business into a new location space in Glasgow City Centre.

The design captures the company's ethos and brand style, with a unique quality incorporated within the design aesthetic. To achieve a creative yet functional design, creating a space that doesn't feel like an office, yet has the facilities required to create and build a successful business. Whilst considering new and innovative ways to address how people work, the design looks to achieve a unique and fresh approach to the workplace; focusing on the main aspects that allow you to create a successful healthy work environment. The inspiration of this design scheme was based on the concept of Co-Working combined with the concept of Biophilic Design, thus creating 'The Workplace Re-Designed.'
